Sam Bennett

Sam is a freelance artist, illustrator, and educator who dabbles in character and graphic design. She was born in Texas but moved to Sweden in 2017 with her husband, Kris.

Sam holds a Bachelor of English literature with a minor in Education from Sam Houston State University, graduating in 2014. Since graduation, Sam has been working as a teacher of several subjects, but most notably art, both in Texas and Sweden.

Sam boasts a lifelong appreciation (obsession) for dinosaurs, dragons, fantastical monsters, and all things creature. These themes and motifs often appear in her art alongside bold, rich colors and distinct shape language.

When not teaching, Sam spends her time working on combining her love for education and art. She has completed two self-published educational graphic novels so far and hopes to work on more in the near future!
